Just Ask Angie: Is it too late to get involved with the Poverty Reduction Strategy?

I’ve been hearing about a Poverty Reduction Strategy for the Sunshine Coast. Is it too late to get involved?

It’s true that a Resource Centre project team has been looking into ways to address poverty here on the Coast. This has been happening since the fall of 2020. The project is funded by District of Sechelt and the Union of BC Municipalities. No, it’s not too late to have your say and share your perspective. Project leads Betty Baxter and Pat Feindel are going to hold virtual public forums on March 29, April 13 and April 26. You can register on the Resource Centre website www.resourcecentre.ca/imagine or email imagine@resourcecentre.ca for more information.

Angie Theilmann is an information and referral specialist at the Sunshine Coast Resource Centre, your community information hub and will be back to help. Do you have a question? Just Ask Angie! Email: help@resourcecentre.ca
