Dr. Chris Hergesheimer holds a BA in cultural anthropology, an MA in Sociology from Simon Fraser University and a PhD in Integrated Studies in Land and Food Systems from the University of British Columbia. Chris has spent over a decade involved in research, community development, sustainability and innovation projects both locally and internationally. Chris brings his expertise in food studies and food systems transformation, in-depth research skills, past experience in community economic development, a community activist lens and a steadily growing interest in poverty reduction work to his management role with the Poverty Reduction Action Project (2022-2023).
