Access Pro Bono offers a number of free legal support and legal advice programs. Some are aimed at people with low to modest income, others are for anyone no matter their income.
Programs include :
Summary Advice Program: For low-modest income individuals- Connect to half hour legal advice with the possibility of more appointments if needed.
Lawyer Referral Service: For those who do not qualify for Summary Advice program. Connect with a suitable lawyer to get 30 free minutes of legal advice
Civil Chambers Program: Legal assistance and representation for low to modest-income individuals with civil law matters before the Supreme Court of BC or Court of Appeal in Vancouver.
Wills Clinic: A weekly wills and representation agreement clinic in Vancouver for low-income seniors (55+) or those living with a terminal illness.
Residential Tenancy Program: Provides free legal assistance and representation to low and modest income individuals (tenants and landlords) who are contending with tenancy law issues and/or appearing before the Residential Tenancy Branch.
Mental Health Program: Provides free legal advice by phone to people detained under BC’s Mental Health Act and/or their relatives.
