Gibsons Landing Heritage Society (GLHS) conceived, planned, built and operates the Heritage Playhouse. We also work to preserve the heritage of Gibsons. We work hard to provide the best professional stage lighting and sound possible. GLHS is always looking for people who love the Playhouse, encourage energy conservation, and have an interest in all things heritage to take a place at the Board table.
Types of Potential Volunteer Opportunities Available:
- Board members with finance, secretarial, fund-raising, PR skills
- Gardeners
- People with handy skills
- Concession workers and ushers for shows
Our Playhouse is heavily booked throughout the year. To find out more about special events we encourage you to join us by taking out a membership (easy to do online) and/or coming to a show!
Being apart of our team provides a chance to meet lively groups of people. Some positions even allow you to take in some of the shows (not always possible). Also, by joining us as a volunteer, it’s a chance to join others in providing the Sunshine Coast community with a wonderful small theatre in a lovely heritage building; it’s always a challenge, but our team accomplishes a lot. You will also be provided with the opportunity to learn about the theatre world and how it all goes together to support visiting dancers, actors, and musicians with a professionally equipped theatre.
