Our Mission: To end human-bear conflict on the Sunshine Coast so that residents, bears and other wildlife can harmoniously co-exist in our coastal community.

Types of Volunteer Opportunities Include:

  • Sign installation
  • Canvassing neighbourhoods
  • Distributing educational literature,
  • Assisting with fundraisers and organization of public events
  • Assisting with public presentations

We educate our residents about living respectfully and safely with our coastal bear population. By working together with various levels of government organizations we aim to make meaningful changes in our laws and regulations that will create a harmonious community for both bears and human residents. We also collaborate with local governments and waste disposal providers to develop an optimal waste management system that insures the least opportunity for bear-garbage attractants.
Ultimately to work towards our goal of eliminating the termination of any bear on our Sunshine Coast!
