SPT Background

During the process of the Resource Centre’s Progress Plan, adult care was identified as one of the major issues on the Sunshine Coast. As a result, in April 2014 the Resource Centre held a public meeting to learn more about the specific needs of older adults.

A number of issues were identified along with recommendations to address those issues. One of those recommendations was to develop a “Seniors Planning Table” in order to address, in a more coordinated, effective way the “grey tsunami” that hit the Sunshine Coast a number of years ago.
