Eight years ago, Simone and her family bought a home in Gibsons because they fell in love with the beauty of the Sunshine Coast.  As a long time organizational leader and community development specialist in both nonprofit and community focused sectors, Simone wanted to be part of this wonderfully diverse community.
She brings a strong background in systems work, building city wide food security systems, Neighbourhood Houses and creating opportunities for community engagement in the disabilities sector.  Simone has been actively engaged in initiatives that enhance the health and wellbeing of the public through her genuine commitment to bringing stakeholders, businesses, non profit organizations and local citizens together to build thriving, inclusive communities.  Trained in Asset Based Community Development her work is multi-sectoral,  which is evident through her commitment to fostering connections within the community and her involvement in local programs and services aimed at supporting families and individuals facing isolation and food insecurity.  Grounded in values of inclusivity and service, Simone strives to unite people in meaningful ways to foster a more resilient and supportive community.
