The Salvation Army’s Food Services on the Sunshine Coast supports individuals and families facing food insecurity. Through their meal and food bank programs, they provide warm meals, grocery support, and a welcoming community space. Volunteers are the heart of their mission, helping deliver food, kindness, and dignity to all who walk through their doors.

TYPES OF POTENTIAL VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

  • Lunch Cook – Lead the preparation of hot lunches for the community.

  • Lunch Server – Assist with food prep, meal service, and cleanup.

  • Kitchen Clean-Up – Wash and put away dishes; sanitize kitchen areas.

  • Dining Hall Set-Up – Prepare tables, coffee, and dining space before service.

  • Dining Hall Clean-Up – Clean and store tables, chairs, and supplies after lunch.

  • Food Bank General Worker – Help sort, repackage, and distribute food; assist with cleanup.

  • Bread & Produce Driver – Pick up and deliver donations; help organize for distribution.

  • Bread & Produce Helper – Assist with donation pickup, sorting, and distribution.
