The Loon Foundation’s philosophy is to ignite connections between people and the natural world and to foster and encourage responsible stewardship of our natural resources for future generations. We aim to increase the public’s awareness of our ecosystems and popularize science to inspire naturalists of all ages
Types of Possible Volunteer Opportunities Available:
- Help conduct forage fish, Macroinvertebrates and seaweed, seagrass, juvenile salmon, salmon escapement, and European green crab surveys
- Help with landscaping and gardening
- Help with planning, organization and implementation of events.
Our organization provides a unique opportunity for the public to participate in monitoring initiatives with staff and researchers, gain valuable hands-on training in collecting marine samples, and learn about environmental education
